Rihanna, Blur And Janet Jackson Break Out New 'Dance Central' Tracks

If Rihanna's "Pon de Replay" left you wanting more from her in "Dance Central," this is your lucky day because she's also made "Disturbia" available for the Kinect title this week, along with tracks from Blur and Janet Jackson. She joins previous DLC contributors Ne-Yo and Lady Gaga in the "DC" marketplace, where Sean Paul and The Black Eyed Peas have also put themselves up for sale.
Their tunes run 240 MS points apiece there, and the library is still young, but it's growing. This week's batch of tracks marks Blur's debut with their track "Girls and Boys," and the same goes for Janet Jackson, who's entered the "Dance Central" DLC ring with her 1986 single "Control."

So whether you're hanging around inside wearing your sweats, torn between the urge to get outside to be active and your fierce aversion to the cold of winter, or just want to test out your GWAR costume with "Dance Central" and have been hesitant because you needed a Blur track to materialize, your time is now.

"Blur" excites me the most off of this list, and if the "DC" folks wanted to just start making deals to build all-"Blur"-and-"Prodigy" sub-stores for their game, I would love to hang out there for a significant amount of time every week. They are off to a fine start with "Girls and Boys," though.

Ke$ha 'totally fine' with Rihanna

Pop star Ke$ha has brushed off reports of a feud with Rihanna after the Umbrella hitmaker appeared to make disparaging comments about her pop peers.

The Bajan beauty stirred controversy in October when she revealed all of the songs on her new album Loud would be written especially for her, unlike some other tracks in the pop charts.

She was quoted as saying, "I didn't want the generic pop record that Ke$ha or Lady Gaga or Katy Perry would do. Every song is tailored to me."

Rihanna's comments were alleged to have sparked a pop rivalry among the stars - but Ke$ha has paid little attention to the rumours and she's confident the media is responsible for turning it into a big deal.

She tells Complex magazine, "I haven't even read that. I'm so used to the media flipping my words around that I'm sure she meant absolutely no offence to me or Katy or Gaga - Rihanna and me are totally cool, we were just on tour together, and I know that she and Katy are good friends."

Ofcom confirm Rihanna and Christina Aguilera 'X Factor' probe

Eight days, a handful of lurid, full-colour tabloid photo spreads and 2,750 complaints later: Ofcom have finally been cajoled into investigating Christina Aguilera and Rihanna's allegedly "raunchy" 'X Factor' performances, the NME reports.

Nearly 20 million people watched the 'X Factor' finale -- in which Matt Cardle took home the seventh series crown -- on 12 December 12. Along with those who contacted Ofcom, 1,000 viewers reportedly complained to ITV about the two guest performers' underwear-clad dance moves on the Sunday evening special.

The Daily Mail has been drumming up outrage over the Aguilera's rendition of her hit 'Burlesque' and Rihanna's version of 'What's My Name?', calling them "lewd" and quoting "horrified" parents -- while helpfully publishing large format photos of the offending routines "to show the fury they've caused".

Mail columnist Jan Moir -- herself no stranger to complaints, after prompting record numbers with a 2009 piece that argued late Boyzone singer Stephen Gately's "sleazy" lifestyle was to blame for his death -- wrote that "crotch flashing and pseudo sexual grinding" were "out of place before the watershed".

Ofcom will now attempt to figure out whether the X Factor finale broke section 1.3 of the broadcasting code, which insists that "children must be protected by appropriate scheduling from material that is unsuitable for them".

Rihanna: 'Don't Expect to See me Crying

RIHANNA rarely lets her emotions get the better of her — because she doesn’t want to be seen as vulnerable.

The singer says she works hard to keep her soft side under wraps.

“I do have a vulnerable side,” she said. “I think a lot of people have a misperception of me.

They only see the tough, defensive, aggressive side. But every woman is vulnerable … I just don’t like people to see me cry — I don’t like to let them know when I’m bothered. You know? I just prefer it to be all about business.”

Rihanna — who’s currently dating L.A. Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp — recently revealed that motherhood may soon be on the horizon.

November 30, 2010 - “I don’t really plan on the age. It could be a year from now. It could be 10 years from now. Whenever is right,” she said.

“I mean, I have a lot of other stuff to accomplish before I get to kids. Whenever the time is right, I’ll just know.”

“If I had a girl, she’d probably be really rebellious,” she adds. “She would be like a bundle of karma.

“I would love to bring them up in Barbados [but] I can’t live that far away from everything now, without kids.

“So I certainly couldn’t raise kids and [have a career] with the demanding schedule that I have.”

Susan Boyle tops Rihanna on album chart

LOS ANGELES (Billboard) – Scottish singer Susan Boyle's second album "The Gift" held on to the top spot on the Billboard 200 album charts for a second week, beating new releases by R&B artist Rihanna, and Kid Rock.

Boyle, who became an Internet sensation after appearing on "Britain's Got Talent" in 2009, also scored a rare second-week sales increase, up 5 percent with 335,000 sales of her Christmas-themed album, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Boyle was joined by a kindred TV spirit as 10-year-old "America's Got Talent" runner-up Jackie Evancho saw her "O Holy Night" bow with 239,000 at No. 2. The four song EP -- bolstered with a DVD of performances -- carries an economical list price of $8.

Rihanna captured her fifth top 10 set with "Loud" coming in at No. 3 with 207,000, her best sales week yet, while her single "Only Girl" rebounded to No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart. Boyle and Evancho's albums are two of three holiday efforts in the top 10, making the biggest Christmas tally since January 1993. The cast of TV musical comedy "Glee" with their "Christmas Album" came in at No. 8 with 161,000.

The top nine albums all sold more than 100,000 each.

Josh Groban's "Illuminations" lit up at No. 4 with 191,000 sales. Kid Rock's "Born Free" bowed at No. 5 with 189,000, with digital downloads accounting for 23,000 of his total. It is the sixth top 10 for both singers.

Rascal Flatts' "Nothing Like This" entered at No. 6 with 165,000, marking the country band's seventh top 10 album. Meanwhile, Keith Urban saw his latest release, "Get Closer," start at No. 7 with 162,000.

The eighth and final top 10 debut of the week belonged to Nelly, who took 10th place with his "5.0" shifting 63,000. Aside from Boyle, the only holdover in the top 10 was Taylor Swift's "Speak Now," which dropped seven slots to No. 9 in its fourth week.

On the digital songs chart, the "Glee" cast's take on Cee Lo Green's "Forget You," featuring actress Gwyneth Paltrow, arrived at No. 1 with 192,000. It was Paltrow's second No. 1 on a Billboard music chart following "Cruisin'," a duet with Huey Lewis, which topped the adult contemporary radio chart in 2000.

Green's original version of "Forget You" (aka "F*** You") rallied up 10 slots to a new peak of No. 2 with a one-week high of 191,000 downloads (up 94 percent). The "Glee" mash-up of "Singing in the Rain/Umbrella" also made the Top 10, taking 7th place with 140,000 downloads. Overall album sales in the chart week ending November 21 totaled 8.12 million units, up 2 percent compared to the comparable sales week of 2009.

Year to date album sales stand at 261.78 million, down 13% compared to the same total at this point last year. Digital track sales for the week were 22.47 million, up 19 percent compared to the comparable week of 2009.

Rihanna’s “Only Girl” on top in single chart

Rihanna is again on the top of single chart with her new “Only Girl”. The song was released almost 10 weeks back. From it release up till this song has made its position on single charts. Though its position, sometimes, drops to eight and, sometimes, peaks up to the top of the single chart. Rihanna with her new song “Only Girl” is breaking records hitting the top position again and again in one calendar year.
Rihanna, in year 2010, hits the single chart on the top position three times. At first with “What’s my name?” then her song, “Loud” made its space on the single chart, now her sing “Only Girl” is on Hot 100 single chart for more than 10 weeks.

Rihanna’s new album “LOUD” has made the record of selling 207,000 copies and this success made Rihanna one of the famous and best singers for the year 2010.

I could be pregnant by next year: Rihanna

In an interview, Rihanna has hinted that motherhood may soon be on the horizon.

"I don't really plan on the age. It could be a year from now. It could be 10 years from now. Whenever is right," Us Magazine quoted her as saying.

"I mean, I have a lot of other stuff to accomplish before I get to kids. Whenever the time is right, I'll just know."

The pop star, who began dating L.A. Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp in January, wants an all-male household.
"If I had a girl, she'd probably be really rebellious," the singer laughed.

"She would be like a bundle of karma."

As for where she would raise her brood, Rihanna says she "would love to bring them up in Barbados," though her job may prevent that from becoming a reality.

"I can't live that far away from everything now, without kids," she explains.

"So I certainly couldn't raise kids and [have a career] with the demanding schedule that I have," she added.

Kids Would be a Bundle of Karma

Rihanna strikes a pose for a spread in Interview’s December 2010 issue.

Here’s what the 22-year-old cover girl had to share with Kanye West, who interviewed her for the mag:

On her take on fashion: “I’m over the whole structured clothing, overly shoulder-padded shit. I like stuff that’s easy without trying too hard. I don’t like stuff that’s too contrived. I’m not into trends or trendy style anymore. [A year from now] I probably see a lot of menswear, or something extremely, extremely feminine. But I like to play with both.”
On her vulnerable side: “I think a lot of people have a misperception of me. They only see the tough, defensive, aggressive side. But every woman is vulnerable. They have vulnerability. So of course I’m going to have that side. It’s not a major part of who I am, but it’s definitely there. I just don’t like people to see me cry.”

On having children: “I don’t know actually. That depends on a lot of other sh-t. [laughs] I have a lot of other stuff to accomplish before I get to kids. Whenever the time is right, I’ll just know. I don’t really plan on the age. It could be a year from now. It could be 10 years from now. Whenever is right. If I had a girl, she’d probably be really rebellious. She would be like a bundle of karma.”

What’s My Name Remix Rihanna Ft. Sean Kingston

What’s My Name Remix Rihanna Ft. Sean Kingston – Island based singer, Sean Kingston adds his vocals to Rihanna’s “What’s My Name” song. His verse, adds a bit of a different flavor at the beginning but if your looking for a full remix experience then I was dissatisfied. Sean has publicly displayed his appreciation for the Barbados native.
This remix was clearly not a business move, just an artists’ admiration of another.

Sean Kingston is also said to be coming out with a mixtape soon, titled King of Kingz.

Rihanna Admits to Being 'Irritating' -- Say What!

Rihanna thinks she may be alienating female fans by flaunting her goods. "Girls don't like to see other girls dressed sexy," she told British GQ. "I get that. People see my a-s out and my boobs out, so it can get a little irritating."
Young Buck no longer has beef with Game. "I done reconciled with Game because in reality I don't feel like the situation of when there was a situation dealing with the G-Unit and Game it was a situation where I would consider beef," he explained to BBC 1Xtra's Tim Westwood. "When you consider beef, that's a whole different world. A lot of these are just considered misunderstandings but they're able to make it to the beef categories and carried out like that." Ah yes, beef categories

No tears - no vulnerability: Rihanna

Rihanna has revealed she works hard to keep her soft side under wraps.

The singer insisted she won’t allow herself to cry in public because she doesn’t want to be 'vulnerable'.
Speaking to Interview magazine, she explained: 'I do have a vulnerable side. I think a lot of people have a misperception of me. They only see the tough, defensive, aggressive side. But every woman is vulnerable ... I just don't like people to see me cry - I don't like to let them know when I'm bothered. You know? I just prefer it to be all about business.'

Rihanna's Album Release Party at Times Square

On the eve of her new album release, Rihanna shut down Times Square in the Big Apple. Sporting new red long locks, the Barbadian singer made a live performance for MTV's "The Seven", a new afternoon show launched to replace "TRL". RiRi looked sassy in her tribal-printed jacket, black bustier, high heels, stockings and light-yellow hot pants. Finishing her look with a set of big bracelets on both wrists, she catered fans flocking at the venue with her current No. 1 single "What's My Name?".

Drake, her collaborator, didn't appear at the show, but RiRi alone was more than capable to wow concertgoers who sang along to the lyrics of the hit single. "[It was] really good," she said of how she felt to duet with Drizzy. "We know each other. We're good friends. It's easy for us to work together."

RiRi is releasing "Loud" across United States on November 16. "Thank you, New York! It's amazing! It's a lot of people," she shouted to screaming fans. "I'm really excited. I'm looking forward to sharing it with the world. I want everybody to get Loud tomorrow."

Beside dropping an album, she also jumps on to helping other artists with their projects. She has collaborated with Nicki Minaj on "Fly" for the rapper's upcoming debut album "Pink Friday" which is also coming out soon. "I hope so," she answered when asked about filming a music video together.

Rihanna is living out 'Loud' on new album

Rihanna is a good girl who went bad a couple of albums ago, and she keeps getting naughtier all the time. Loud's pulsating opener, S&M, makes it clear from the jump where she's headed as she acknowledges that "chains and whips excite me." She never retreats from that sexually aggressive tone as she shakes off the dark cloud of domestic violence that veiled 2009's Rated R. On her fifth album in five years, she is on a freaky, flirty, fun trip. The edgy music, which leans heavily toward dance and island sounds, fits well with her less than blissful romantic romps. On more than one occasion, she makes it clear that she likes her men complicated and that they can expect her to be the same.

Eminem puts in a cameo on Love the Way You Lie (Part II), which extends, but doesn't really add, to their earlier hit about a tortured relationship from his Recovery album. Better is Raining Men, a duet with Nicki Minaj on which busters feel the blast of the vamps' ire. Rihanna is not only loud, but full of drama.

Federer ends Nole’s run in Basel

Second seed Novak Djokovic failed in attempt to defend his title and win his third ATP World Tour trophy of the season on Sunday. Top-seeded Roger Federer won 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 in 1 hour and 54 minutes in the finals of the Swiss Indoors Basel.
Roger holds a 12-6 advantage against Nole.
Novak was down 15-40 in the opening game of the match, but he pulled it back to deuce with some fine serving before going on to hold as Federer hit successive backhands in the net. Djokovic earned a break point in the second game, but the Swiss saved the game and his serve with two aces followed by a wonderful forehand winner. We saw first break of the match in the third game; Federer then consolidated the break to increase his lead to 4-1. The top seed earned a set point with an ace, but Nole leveled with a great return and then an unforced error from Federer gave a break point opportunity to Nole! The 23-year-old from Belgrade didn’t use the chance and Roger took the set 6-4 in 49 minutes.
Novak raced through the opening game without dropping a point. The Serb took the lead in the second game and earned two break points after two unforced errors from Federer. He capitalised on the first and then held comfortably for 3-0 lead. Federer was leading 40-0 in the eighth game but Nole pushed him to deuce. The Swiss double faulted to hand Djokovic a break/set point but saved it with an ace. Nole faced scare serving for the set, but held to clinch the set 6-3 in 38 minutes.
