Interswitch Nigeria recently held its loyalty program for Verve card users tagged ‘Reward money’ at the ground floor of Surulere shopping mall popularly known as Shoprite on the 1st of February 2013.
Reward money is aimed at giving value to Verve card users as they earn money back on their verve cards each time they use them at recognized verve card portals.
Currently, Verve has over 100 merchants with 12 merchants situated at the Surulere shopping mall (Shoprite).
Customers stand to gain some percentages as "Reward money"when they purchase items with their Verve cards from the followingmerchants in the Surulere shopping mall- Accessories 2 die 4(4-4.5%), Bechis Closet (2.5%), Blooming Dames(4.5%), Enemaya(2.5%), Live Mechanics (2.5%), Lofinaz(2.5%), Nired(2.5%), Pills Plus Pharmacy (2.5%), Twice as Nice(2.5%), Us polo (2.5%), Zhoni collections(2.5%) , La mode (2.5%).
The ‘’Reward Money’’ on the verve card can however be spent by a Verve card holderat any recognized verve card portal/ POS at will.
The benefits of being a Verve card merchant include Customer retention, repeat purchase, increase in sales, less theft(since it is cashless), shop owners have more information about their customers etc.
A merchant in Surulere Shopping mall Sade Salami of Bloomingdames has been a Verve card ‘’Reward Money ‘’user for over 2months and in her testimonial affirmed her support for the use of electronic card systems ,and generally thinks the ‘’Reward Money’’ initiative is a good idea’’.
Another merchant in the Surulere shopping mall known as ShegunAdams, a Manager at Zhoni apparels with branches in mega plaza, MMA 2 , Opebi Lagos etc also affirms the Verve ‘’Reward Money’’ initiative as having the capacity to drive sales to a business.
A similar event will also hold at the Palms Shopping Mall Lekki on the 14th of February 2013.
