Rihanna, Blur And Janet Jackson Break Out New 'Dance Central' Tracks

If Rihanna's "Pon de Replay" left you wanting more from her in "Dance Central," this is your lucky day because she's also made "Disturbia" available for the Kinect title this week, along with tracks from Blur and Janet Jackson. She joins previous DLC contributors Ne-Yo and Lady Gaga in the "DC" marketplace, where Sean Paul and The Black Eyed Peas have also put themselves up for sale.

Their tunes run 240 MS points apiece there, and the library is still young, but it's growing. This week's batch of tracks marks Blur's debut with their track "Girls and Boys," and the same goes for Janet Jackson, who's entered the "Dance Central" DLC ring with her 1986 single "Control."

So whether you're hanging around inside wearing your sweats, torn between the urge to get outside to be active and your fierce aversion to the cold of winter, or just want to test out your GWAR costume with "Dance Central" and have been hesitant because you needed a Blur track to materialize, your time is now.

"Blur" excites me the most off of this list, and if the "DC" folks wanted to just start making deals to build all-"Blur"-and-"Prodigy" sub-stores for their game, I would love to hang out there for a significant amount of time every week. They are off to a fine start with "Girls and Boys," though.

Ke$ha 'totally fine' with Rihanna

Pop star Ke$ha has brushed off reports of a feud with Rihanna after the Umbrella hitmaker appeared to make disparaging comments about her pop peers.

The Bajan beauty stirred controversy in October when she revealed all of the songs on her new album Loud would be written especially for her, unlike some other tracks in the pop charts.

She was quoted as saying, "I didn't want the generic pop record that Ke$ha or Lady Gaga or Katy Perry would do. Every song is tailored to me."

Rihanna's comments were alleged to have sparked a pop rivalry among the stars - but Ke$ha has paid little attention to the rumours and she's confident the media is responsible for turning it into a big deal.

She tells Complex magazine, "I haven't even read that. I'm so used to the media flipping my words around that I'm sure she meant absolutely no offence to me or Katy or Gaga - Rihanna and me are totally cool, we were just on tour together, and I know that she and Katy are good friends."

Ofcom confirm Rihanna and Christina Aguilera 'X Factor' probe

Eight days, a handful of lurid, full-colour tabloid photo spreads and 2,750 complaints later: Ofcom have finally been cajoled into investigating Christina Aguilera and Rihanna's allegedly "raunchy" 'X Factor' performances, the NME reports.

Nearly 20 million people watched the 'X Factor' finale -- in which Matt Cardle took home the seventh series crown -- on 12 December 12. Along with those who contacted Ofcom, 1,000 viewers reportedly complained to ITV about the two guest performers' underwear-clad dance moves on the Sunday evening special.

The Daily Mail has been drumming up outrage over the Aguilera's rendition of her hit 'Burlesque' and Rihanna's version of 'What's My Name?', calling them "lewd" and quoting "horrified" parents -- while helpfully publishing large format photos of the offending routines "to show the fury they've caused".

Mail columnist Jan Moir -- herself no stranger to complaints, after prompting record numbers with a 2009 piece that argued late Boyzone singer Stephen Gately's "sleazy" lifestyle was to blame for his death -- wrote that "crotch flashing and pseudo sexual grinding" were "out of place before the watershed".

Ofcom will now attempt to figure out whether the X Factor finale broke section 1.3 of the broadcasting code, which insists that "children must be protected by appropriate scheduling from material that is unsuitable for them".

  Nole opened the match with a love service game. He made a break already in the fourth game and then consolidated the break for 4-1 lead. The world no.3 faced scare in the seventh game, but held to keep the advantage. He put the pressure on Monfils, earned two break/set points and capitalised on the second to take the set 6-2 in 35 minutes.
 
  Novak continued playing great in the second set, not giving his opponent any chance. The 23-year-old from Belgrade clinched a break of Monfils's serve in the sixth game as the Frenchman hit his backhand long. The Serbian no.1 won a long rally in the eighth game to set up three break/set points and converted the third for 6-2.
 
  Djokovic came back twice from a break down in the third set and eventually broke Monfils in the tenth game using second match point for 6-4.

Novak's tournament schedule for the first five months in 2011

   Novak will begin his ninth professional season in January 2011, at the 23rd edition of Perth's Hopman Cup. The eight-nation exhibition event will be held in January 1-8.
   Nole and Ana will represent Serbia. They will kick off their campaign in Perth on Sunday,
January 2, 2011, at 5pm (Western Standard Time) against the team of Kazakhstan.
 
  After that, Novak will play at the first Grand Slam of the season - Australian Open, which begins on Monday, January 17, at Melbourne Park.

Rihanna: 'Don't Expect to See me Crying

RIHANNA rarely lets her emotions get the better of her — because she doesn’t want to be seen as vulnerable.

The singer says she works hard to keep her soft side under wraps.

“I do have a vulnerable side,” she said. “I think a lot of people have a misperception of me.

They only see the tough, defensive, aggressive side. But every woman is vulnerable … I just don’t like people to see me cry — I don’t like to let them know when I’m bothered. You know? I just prefer it to be all about business.”

Rihanna — who’s currently dating L.A. Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp — recently revealed that motherhood may soon be on the horizon.

November 30, 2010 - “I don’t really plan on the age. It could be a year from now. It could be 10 years from now. Whenever is right,” she said.

“I mean, I have a lot of other stuff to accomplish before I get to kids. Whenever the time is right, I’ll just know.”

“If I had a girl, she’d probably be really rebellious,” she adds. “She would be like a bundle of karma.

“I would love to bring them up in Barbados [but] I can’t live that far away from everything now, without kids.

“So I certainly couldn’t raise kids and [have a career] with the demanding schedule that I have.”

Susan Boyle tops Rihanna on album chart

LOS ANGELES (Billboard) – Scottish singer Susan Boyle's second album "The Gift" held on to the top spot on the Billboard 200 album charts for a second week, beating new releases by R&B artist Rihanna, and Kid Rock.

Boyle, who became an Internet sensation after appearing on "Britain's Got Talent" in 2009, also scored a rare second-week sales increase, up 5 percent with 335,000 sales of her Christmas-themed album, according to Nielsen SoundScan.Boyle was joined by a kindred TV spirit as 10-year-old "America's Got Talent" runner-up Jackie Evancho saw her "O Holy Night" bow with 239,000 at No. 2. The four song EP -- bolstered with a DVD of performances -- carries an economical list price of $8.

Rihanna captured her fifth top 10 set with "Loud" coming in at No. 3 with 207,000, her best sales week yet,while her single "Only Girl" rebounded to No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart. Boyle and Evancho's albums are two of three holiday efforts in the top 10, making the biggest Christmas tally since January 1993. The cast of TV musical comedy "Glee" with their "Christmas Album" came in at No. 8 with 161,000.

The top nine albums all sold more than 100,000 each.

Josh Groban's "Illuminations" lit up at No. 4 with 191,000 sales. Kid Rock's "Born Free" bowed at No. 5 with 189,000, with digital downloads accounting for 23,000 of his total. It is the sixth top 10 for both singers.

Rascal Flatts' "Nothing Like This" entered at No. 6 with 165,000, marking the country band's seventh top 10 album. Meanwhile, Keith Urban saw his latest release, "Get Closer," start at No. 7 with 162,000.

The eighth and final top 10 debut of the week belonged to Nelly, who took 10th place with his "5.0" shifting 63,000. Aside from Boyle, the only holdover in the top 10 was Taylor Swift's "Speak Now," which dropped seven slots to No. 9 in its fourth week.

On the digital songs chart, the "Glee" cast's take on Cee Lo Green's "Forget You," featuring actress Gwyneth Paltrow, arrived at No. 1 with 192,000. It was Paltrow's second No. 1 on a Billboard music chart following "Cruisin'," a duet with Huey Lewis, which topped the adult contemporary radio chart in 2000.

Green's original version of "Forget You" (aka "F*** You") rallied up 10 slots to a new peak of No. 2 with a one-week high of 191,000 downloads (up 94 percent). The "Glee" mash-up of "Singing in the Rain/Umbrella" also made the Top 10, taking 7th place with 140,000 downloads. Overall album sales in the chart week ending November 21 totaled 8.12 million units, up 2 percent compared to the comparable sales week of 2009.

Year to date album sales stand at 261.78 million, down 13% compared to the same total at this point last year. Digital track sales for the week were 22.47 million, up 19 percent compared to the comparable week of 2009.
