Djokovic beat Haase - Monte Carlo 2012

Djokovic - Haase 2:0 (6:4) (6:2) Congratulations!

Djokovic will play Berdych in the semi-finals of the Monte-Carlo Masters after defeating Robin Haase 6-4 6-2.
It took Djokovic little over an hour and 15 minutes as he ultimately made short work of his less illustrious opponent.
The world number one really failed to get firing in the first set. He was broken in the opening game of the match, retaliated with a couple of his own, but was again broken in the seventh as Haase brought it back to 4-4.
Novak faced another break point, but hit a vicious forehand winner to save and went on to hold then break the Dutchman's serve again courtesy of an easy put away at the net.
The point of the match was won by Djokovic at the start of the second as he recovered from a seemingly impossible position to finally get to the lob and pass the world number 55 on the turn.
Nole raced into a 4-0 lead, but it continued to be a strange performance as he squandered his own serve to love in the next game. Once again Djokovic broke, but yet again he dropped his serve  for the fourth time in the match - when presented with a match point.
Haase only managed to hold serve twice in the entire match though and it was a straight forward task for Novak as a crunching return winner set up match point and he made no mistake.

Djokovic beat Dolgopolov - Monte Carlo 2012

Djokovic is through to the quarter-finals of the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters.
The top seed fought back from a set down to defeat world no.21 Ukraine’s Alexandr Dolgopolov 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 in 1 hour and 40 minutes. Congratulations.
Dolgopolov started strong and took the opening set 6-2 with a double break.
Nole broke his opponent’s serve in the second game of the second set and consolidated the break with a battling hold, coming from 0-40 down. The world no.1 made one more break and closed out the set with a cross court forehand winner to level up the match.
The 2009 runner-up converted his break point opportunity in the ninth game of the decisive third set and served out the match with a comfortable service hold.
Match statistics: aces (5-5), double faults (2-0), winners (19-21), unforced errors (32-35), total points won (82-72).
Novak Djokovic capitalised on 3 of his 9 break point chances and won 77 per cent of his first serve points.
Next up for the 24-year-old Serb will be a QF encounter with world no.55 Robin Haase. The Dutchman eliminated Brazil’s Thomaz Bellucci in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.
